Job Purpose:

This position is within the Citi Private Bank Operations and Technology Department. Candidate will provide regional support as part of the NAM Capital Markets team that supports Capital Markets related efforts across the Private Bank.

Job Background:

The position is for a strong Technical Project Manager / Business Analyst (lot PM / less BA - potentially a 65/35 split) within Citi Private Bank NAM Capital Markets Technology Team. This role will Interact with the regional stakeholders in business, legal, compliance and business risk, operations and technology organizations. The individual will manage projects across multiple products, overlooking budget and resource allocation, tracking status, issues, dev progress and provide overall project updates. The individual will participate in ongoing projects / enhancements & BAU efforts collaborating with stakeholders across Operations, Technology and relevant peer groups. Space involves technology systems both home grown and vendor (Bloomberg) - across Equity, Fixed Income Bond & Structured Products. The candidate must have knowledge and experience with Order Management System (OMS/EMS). Must have working knowledge and experience in one of the following: Fixed Income, Options, Equity products, OTC Derivatives, Structure Products, Capital Markets. Preferred to have prior experience in participating effectively in supporting Order Management & Reporting Systems, understanding system capabilities, data flows and interfaces. The candidate has to stay well organized and effective at working with the business desk as well as the Offshore Tech team that services the technology needs of the desk. Project reporting involves stakeholder interaction on an ongoing basis, updating and uploading reports to enterprise Project Reporting Systems and publishing update decks to relevant forums.

Key Responsibilities:

The primary scope includes the following:

PM responsibilities:

  • End to End Accountability for project and program implementation from initiation to post deployment
  • Key Driver of project from requirements phase to post implementation phase with engagement with all partners
  • Key Stakeholder management with various internal customers, partners, and internal and external suppliers
  • Accountable to arrive at the project budget requirement, managing project budget, usage and distribution to multiple partners involved in building the solution
  • Accountable to deliver on time and within budgets with constant tracking
  • Accountable for creating the project and program, governance structure at kickoff
  • Provide Project/Program Status along with associated Risk, Issue, Dependencies etc. to various governance forums as required by Project/Program governance
  • Ensure various Key Project Management matrices, Tools, Training etc. are in align with Department expectations. Ensure project Implementation is as per Citi policies, and procedures and guidelines
  • Support Global and Regional/Local Lead in preparing material/presentations for various forums (adhoc basis)


BA responsibilities:
  • Discovery: Engage stakeholders & identify system and data flows supporting CPB NAM Cap Markets Products
  • Document, Verify and Publish Projects and /or enhancements baseline inventory - Ongoing
  • BAU: Regular meeting with Stakeholders & Dev team to track and publish updates and update Enterprise Project reporting systems. React to queries from the desk related to technology applications supported
  • Project & BAU: Work with users to document requirements; work with development / testing team to explain functionality
  • Lead the definition of problem statements, user stories, acceptance criteria and act as a conduit between the user community and the QA, development and production support teams to ensure transparency & clarity of these needs
  • Maintain a prioritized development backlog and partner with project and delivery leads to organize backlog items into sprints
  • Develop & maintain SDLC documents like Project Charter, Project Plan, BRD, FRD, Project Plan, Test Plan, Test Results, UAT Approvals, and Lessons Learned
  • Leverage data modelling practices to analyze findings and propose improvement options, as Providing support during and post implementation
  • Working with users, business analysts, and developers to understand user and system requirements . Assisting the QA team in generating scenarios for effective and thorough testing


Required Knowledge/Experience:
  • 10+ years of Total experience, Minimum 5 years of experience in Project and Program Management
  • Experience in Technical Project Management OR Investments within private banking/wealth management is a must
  • Knowledge and experience is required in one of the following areas: OMS, EMS, FIX, Fixed Income, Equity products, Structure product, OTC derivatives
  • Relevant Business Analyst certifications is a plus
  • Financial Service experience is a must
  • Strong communication skills, ability to explain Business requirements in a clear and concise manner to various stakeholders (supplier, partners, management etc.) in various forum
  • Ability to build relationships and negotiate solutions while liaising between business, operations, technology
  • Experience with working with dev on/Off-shore team is a must
  • Self-motivated and a team player that works wells with individuals and thrives in a complex, global organization
  • Exposure to various SDLC methodologies
  • Strong modelling skills (of system architectures, data flows, processes, current/future states, use cases)
  • Dealing with and supporting users including for BAU prod issues is a must; FI Desk exposure is a plus
