Job description

Our client in Linden N.J is seeking an Associate Color Lab Technician who is a proactive, "people-first" teammate. We are looking for a detail oriented and creative individual who identifies continuous improvement opportunities with maintaining excellence in quality. The Color Lab Technician will be responsible for formulating all types of nail polish colors. This individual will also be responsible for various tests to ensure the correct colors and quality of product are met or exceed our customer's requirements for quality.

Primary Task:

· Match new or in process samples with standard colors to determine color accuracy within production.

· Operate with various pieces of lab equipment and tools to obtain various testing results that are utilized for compliance with customer requirements.

· Work with current and new vendors to create new products requested by our customers.

· Develop a recording system for testing and reporting.

· Recording of testing results.

· Communicate results and other information with our Sales Department, Production, and Customers.

· Maintain samples for specified time deriving from customer requirements.

· Supply production with approved stain and paint color samples before the material is released to production.

Secondary Task:

· Maintain a safe, clean, and orderly work area.

· Finding and supporting opportunities for improved performance, cost-savings, and efficiency.

Skills:

· Self-motivated individual with strong attention to detail with goals in mind.

· Flexibility in daily hours depending on workload.

· Ability to stand or sit for extended periods of time.

· Experience with Excel, Word, and Outlook

· Good oral and written communication skills

· Ability to lift 50 lbs.

· Ability to maintain and safely utilize various pieces of lab equipment.

· Ability to follow work instructions and procedures.

· Ability to work well in a team environment that is fast paced and can be stressful.

· Ability to prioritize and work to meet deadlines.

- A minimum of 3 years.

Schdule 7am-3:30pm

Pay rate $ 22 to $25hr

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $22.00 - $25.00 per hour
