Longbridge Financial is looking for a highly motivated and collaborative Senior Business Analyst (BA) with experience working on projects of varying complexity to join our team. This BA will need to work with the project team and various stakeholders to complete the necessary project documentation to help define and implement assigned projects. This role will act as a business and technology liaison for stakeholders and will capture requirements necessary for the business to meet its goals.

This role requires the ability to quickly understand complex business operations and recommend solutions to improve general business processes and planning

Job Description

  • Collaborates with the lines of business, technical partners, and leadership to capture and define scope, requirements, and use cases
  • Conducts gap analysis and identifies opportunities for process automation
  • Works with the project team throughout the lifecycle
  • Gathers definitions of success and users' needs
  • Translates high-level business requirements into functional specifications and manages changes to approved specifications
  • Supports the development of user stories, test scenarios and test cases
  • Analyzes and captures potential process improvements and creates detailed process maps
  • Assists Project Managers in development of project plans and reporting, as needed
  • Conducts feasibility studies to assess cost/benefit, efficiency, and technical viability of solutions to business problems
  • Actively and consistently supports all efforts to simplify and enhance the customer experience
  • Assists in business process redesign and documentation as needed for new technology
  • Collaborates with technical partners and lines of business in systems development and design
  • Supports all EPMO activities including process analysis, system analysis, reporting, and measuring success
  • Performs other duties as assigned


Qualifications

  • Two to four years of empirical or academic experience conducting business analysis and writing business/functional requirements required
  • Two to four years of empirical or academic experience analyzing business processes and organizations preferred
  • Two years of empirical or academic experience acting as a continuous improvement resource preferred

Education:
  • 4-year college degree required; Business degree preferred
  • Master's degree preferred

Skills:
  • Advanced proficiency in Excel, PowerPoint, Word, and Visio required
  • Experience with Smartsheet, MS Project or similar project management tools
  • Understands iterative application development fundamentals
  • Established competency in waterfall and familiarity with agile project management
  • Able to quickly assimilate to new processes, technology, and/or applications
  • Possesses excellent interpersonal, oral, analytical, written, and problem-solving skills
  • Works well with people at all organizational levels
  • Ability to effectively communicate complex ideas

Other:
  • Business Analyst certification preferred
  • CAPM preferred
  • PMP preferred
  • Mortgage background preferred
