Job Summary

Winston Benefits, a Brown & Brown company, is seeking a Senior Financial Analyst to join our team! As a Senior Financial Analyst, you will be responsible for modeling (developing forecasts, budgets and multi-year plans), analyzing and reporting financial and operational results. You will assist with developing business cases, and will support operation and capital planning activities.

Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Prepares annual forecast and multi-year forecasts taking into account changes in tactical and strategic plans, operations, contracts, trends, etc.
  • Perform profitability and cost analysis
  • Provides financial/analytical support to management
  • Identifies, analyzes and tracks trends that impact financial performance (e.g., new/changed product offerings, utilization and operations)
  • Prepares business cases including financial, operation and economic analysis
  • Responsible for the preparation of analysis of variances between actual and projected sales revenue and the compilation and analysis of operating expense variances.
  • Assist in the design, development, and testing of complex spreadsheet models, databases and charts that are used for management analysis and reporting.
  • Develop relationships with management to gain a deep understanding of the business and identify opportunities to positively impact results.
  • Deliver recurring and ad-hoc reports that explain key revenue indicators, such as commission opportunities and carrier placement strategies.
  • Process commissions and bonus calculations.


Required Skills

  • Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Finance, Economics or related field
  • 1-3+ years of financial analytical experience (including internships)
  • Computer literacy with proficiency in Microsoft Office Applications (e.g., Excel, Access) and other relational database tools
  • Demonstrated Microsoft Power BI experience.
  • Pursuit of Chartered Financial Analyst designation and/or MBA


Salary Range

Negotiable, depending on professional experience.
