Job description
**Description:**
This position will be supporting the Machinists in order to produces components by assembling parts and subassemblies, for jet mill machines.
a. Prepares work to be accomplished by studying assembly instructions, blueprint specifications, and parts lists; gathering parts, subassemblies, tools, and materials.
b. Positions parts and subassemblies by using templates or reading measurements.
c. Assembles components by examining connections for correct fit; fastening parts and subassemblies.
d. Verifies specifications by measuring completed component.
e. Resolves assembly problems by altering dimensions to meet specifications; notifying supervisor to obtain additional resources.
f. Keeps equipment operational by completing preventive maintenance requirements; following manufacturer's instructions; troubleshooting malfunctions; calling for repairs.
g. Maintains safe and clean working environment by complying with procedures, rules, and regulations.
h. Maintains supplies inventory by checking stock to determine inventory level; anticipating needed supplies; placing and expediting orders for supplies; verifying receipt of supplies.
i. Conserves resources by using equipment and supplies as needed to accomplish job results.
j. Documents actions by completing production and quality forms.
k. Contributes to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed.

**Additional Skills & Qualifications:**
1. Manufacturing Engineer (AS or AAS) degree or Applied Engineer Degree (AS or AAS);
2. Good knowledge of machining process (milling, turning, welding, etc.) no practice needed. Person should have strong theoretical base to be trained on job;
3. Blueprints reading;
4. Can have 0 experience (CC alumni or Grad school alumni ), we will try to work with a college schedule if it is necessary with the right candidate;
5. Person should have no physical restriction to lift and move parts and tools around the shop;
6. Possible to hire a machinist or a welder who thinks towards manufacturing engineering and ready to be a "handyman" on a production floor. This mean that, for example, if candidate is a welder that person should be ready to do assembly and milling too;
7. MS office and basic computer skills are must.
