The Business Analyst II position translates basic business needs into application software requirements.

Primary duties may include, but are not limited to:

+ Analyzes business needs to determine optimal means of meeting those needs.

+ Determines specific business application software requirements to address specific business needs. Works with programming staff to ensure requirements will be incorporated into system design and testing.

+ Acts as liaison with users of the software to address questions/issues.

+ Review/respond to adhoc inquires and requests from various state agencies including backup data.

+ Support implementation of new state contractual requirements as it relates to operations.

+ Develop business requirements as part of the Business Rules Documents (BRDs) and User Acceptance Testing (UAT) for new state programs and other processes/initiatives.

Qualifications

Minimum qualifications

+ Requires a BS/BA degree, 3-5 years related business analysis experience, or any combination of education and experience, which would provide an equivalent background.

+ Requires strong oral, written and interpersonal communication skills, problem-solving skills, facilitation skills, and analytical skills.

Preferred skills:

+ Must be proficient - advanced level in MS Excel

+ Proficient with MS Access

+ Three years of healthcare experience/background

+ Knowledge/experience with FACETS a plus

+ Ability to interpret data- analytical skills
