Overview:
Morristown Medical Center is currently seeking a fulltime Nursing Coordinator in the Oncology Research Department.

Responsibilities:
Essential Functions:

Candidate will have the ability to utilize the nursing process to assess, diagnose, plan, implement and evaluate the plan of care for patients served

Through the model of Shared Governance, collaborate with all members of the health care team with a focus on promoting evidenced based care within a healing culture for the patient population served and their families

Candidate will demonstrate and embrace the PRIDE core values (Professionalism, Respect, Involvement, Dignity and Excellence) in every aspect of their job

Candidate must have excellent communication and computer skills

Responsible for Recruitment and Enrollment in clinical research trials with pharmaceutical and cooperative group sponsors

Ensures the recruitment of subjects for study participation; coordinates screening of subjects and ensures inclusion and exclusion criteria are met

Enrolls subjects through the relevant system (IVRS/OPEN, etc)

Navigates the patients throughout the clinical research study through follow up

Collects pertinent documentation

Manages budget and billing process

Responsible for sample management activities and ensuring proper collection and shipment

Hours:

Fulltime hours: 8:00am to 4:00pm M-F with flexibility.

Qualifications:
Education:

BSN required

Licenses and Certifications:

Valid New Jersey Nursing License required

BLS Required

OCN and/or CCRC required

Experience:

Minimum five years oncology and/or research nursing experience required
