ALM Methodology and Analytics

Prudential Financial is a life insurance & asset management industry leader that provides innovative solutions to a variety of markets. This position's primary focus is performing modeling & analysis in support of key strategic projects as part of the Asset Liability Management (ALM) Methodology & Analytics Frameworks team. This role provides an opportunity to engage and drive impacts for all the insurance businesses of Prudential Financial.

Job Responsibilities:

* Execute modeling & generate analysis in support of ALM opportunities, such as investment strategy & balance sheet management opportunities, using various platforms including but not limited to Moody's AXIS, Python, & Excel
* Perform inforce investment modeling, methodology, & assumptions annual reviews
* Contribute to building out calculations of new financial measures as well as improving existing processes

Requirements:

* Superior technical skills with modeling & basic programming experience preferably in GGY Axis, SQL, VBA, Python.
* 1-3 years of actuarial, ALM, and/or investment modeling experience preferably in an insurance company context
* Ability to prioritize, plan, and execute across multiple work efforts simultaneously to meet competing deadlines
* Eager to tackle challenging problems and comfortable thinking on your feet
* Emerging knowledge of GAAP & Statutory financial principles
* Emerging knowledge of fixed income, derivatives and alternative asset modeling concepts
* Strong verbal & written communication skills, particularly in explaining technical challenges & writing documentation
* Bachelor's degree in Actuarial Science, Mathematics, Quantitative Finance or a related field

Preferred:

* Actuarial exams a plus but not required
* Note: Prudential is required by Colorado law to include the salary range for this role when hiring a Colorado resident.

Salary range specific to Colorado: ($86,200 to $122,400)+ discretionary incentive bonus + benefits. Eligibility to participate in a discretionary annual incentive program is subject to the rules governing the program, whereby an award, if any, depends on various factors including, without limitation, individual and organizational performance. In addition, employees are eligible for standard benefits package including paid time off, medical, dental and retirement.

Primary location for position is in the Newark, NJ office, but open to a remote as well. The position is currently remote until January 2022.
