Position: HR Director
Position Type: Exempt (Direct-hire)
Location: North Brunswick, NJ (Onsite)
The Human Resources Director will lead all Human Resources functions for a rapidly growing company. The successful candidate will be a thought leader, skilled at creating and maintaining positive relationships, overseeing the HR department, and leading organizational transformation. The ideal candidate has well-rounded HR expertise, is innovative and collaborative, and can influence enterprise-wide changes. In addition, this position will be a strategic partner, developing staff programing, and leveraging technology to drive high-quality operational improvements that fosters a productive and inclusive experience for all. This position reports to the CEO and is onsite in North Brunswick, NJ, with limited remote work.
What the HR Director is responsible for:
Human Resources Administration and Operations
- Lead and oversee the administration of human resources operations and plans including, but not limited to, compensation, benefits, performance and talent workforce management, recruitment, recognition, training and development, and compliance.
- Manage the onsite human resources team, oversee the team's day-to-day operations, and provide constructive feedback to elevate both individual and team performance.
- Develop and deliver the human resources strategies and operations to scale practices, processes, and tools for attracting, developing, and retaining talent at all levels.
- Leverage human resources information (HRIS) and payroll systems to evaluate continuous improvement opportunities and strive to automate workflow processes.
- Track and report metrics that measure progress and impact of operational excellence.
- Collaborate with executives and senior leadership to develop effective plans and programs that model the company's values and support the business growth.
- Lead and direct the human resources department driving higher-performance and operational excellence in human resources operations and progress the organization.
- Develop the company's culture by engaging and empowering managers and employees with more effective tools, training and development, and self-service capabilities.
- Build the talent acquisition and management functions for recruitment, hiring, and onboarding processes to better equip partners, hiring managers, and new employees.
- Develop and maintain organization charts, policies, and trends, using the human resources or payroll information systems and review modern technology solutions.
- Create talent management and employee engagement action plans, initiatives, or programs to support a culture of career development and professional growth.
- Monitor and ensure the organization's compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations, and implement changes to maintain compliance.
- Coach and guide executives and people managers in a variety of related areas and promote a diverse and inclusive work environment with employee communications.
- Address and evaluate the HRIS technology tools and payroll system for ongoing administration and compliance, benefits and compensation, and payroll purposes.
- Recommend cost-effective HRIS and/or payroll systematic efficiencies and implement best practices to meet the business needs for continuous improvement opportunities.
- 10+ years of experience in human resources leadership roles
- Prior experience managing a human resources team
- Experience in manufacturing and working across multiple shifts
- Bachelor's degree in Human Resources; Business or related field required
- SHRM-CP or SHRM-SCP highly preferred
- Experience advising executive level and cross-functional organizational leaders
- Proficiency in various human resources techniques and technology savvy
- Excellent interpersonal, organizational, and written communication skills
- Critical thinker with excellent leadership and team development skills
