The Securities Lending Group is searching for an independent, highly motivated individual who will have primary responsibility for supporting the Term Lending Product. Responsibilities will include, but not be limited to, performing daily funding requirement review, coordinating with counter-parties regarding maintenance of notional amounts, and performing processing of need backs and substitutions. This individual will also provide support and guidance to ensure timely resolution of internal and external queries. This individual needs to have a strong risk management mindset, as well as term lending experience within the securities lending industry. Additionally, this individual needs to be able to handle complex transactions/situations, and multi-task effectively.

The successful applicant will be expected to build strong, collaborative relationships with partners across WFA and the enterprise, including the Consolidated Securities Lending & Secured Funding Desks at WFS. Needs to be able to work independently, as well as with a team.

This individual will need to understand, follow and demonstrate compliance with all internal and external rules, regulations and procedures.



Required Qualifications

  • 5+ years of trading experience



Desired Qualifications

  • Securities lending business experience
  • Advanced negotiating skills, active listening skills, and technical product knowledge to respond to the brokerage community
  • Extensive knowledge and understanding of money market instruments including the ability to recommend risk management strategies
  • Accounting, reconciliation, and securities processing experience
  • Solid problem solving skills necessary to analyze complex situations that require thoughtful solutions in a high volume, fast-paced and high pressure changing environment
  • Advanced Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint, and Access) skills
  • Knowledge and understanding of the WorldLend securities lending system, SEI securities processing system and fund accounting systems
  • Ability to successfully exceed goals with a results focus
  • FINRA registration including Series 7 (or FINRA recognized equivalents)
  • FINRA registration including Series 99 (or FINRA recognized equivalents)
  • Ability to develop and manage business relationships
  • Ability to work effectively, as well as independently, in a team environment
  • Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills
  • Ability to grasp complex business issues quickly, recommend solutions, and drive for resolutions
  • Ability to provide leadership by coaching, training, and mentoring
  • A BS/BA degree or higher in business administration, economics, accounting, finance, or other business related field



Other Desired Qualifications
  • Term Lending experience strongly preferred
  • Proven detail and execution orientation with the ability to work independently
  • Ability to manage multiple responsibilities and tasks simultaneously
  • Strong Microsoft Office Skills
