Technical Writer -Finished Product Specifications

Ft. Washington PA

Kelly Outsourcing & Consulting Group (KellyOCG), a managed solution provider and business unit of Kelly, Inc., is currently seeking a Technical Writer for a long-term engagement at one of our Global clients in Fort Washington, PA. This role is a full-time, fully benefitted position. As a KellyOCG employee you will be eligible for Medical, Dental, 401K and a variety of other benefits to choose from. Job Description/ Major Responsibilities


In this role, technical justifications will be written to ensure that specifications are adequately justified for our natural health products. The Technical Writer is responsible for all activities related to Finished Product Specifications, including writing technical justifications, change controls, creation of new specification documents and maintenance of existing Finished Product Specifications. This position will develop strong interconnections with project colleagues to ensure that proper justifications are put in place. Strong oral and written communication skills are required to communicate effectively at team meetings, and with internal business partners to ensure alignment with business processes.

  • Knowledge and experience with compendia (e.g. USP, AOAC, etc.) is preferred to prepare documents that are in compliance with all applicable regulations.
  • Review associated technical documentation to ensure all product specific critical attributes are documented.
  • Knowledge of statistical analysis is preferred.
  • Background in analytical instrumentation and wet chemistry techniques common to the pharmaceutical industry is preferred.
  • Experience with electronic systems for managing specifications, and associated change control system is highly preferred.

Requirements

Education:

  • A minimum of a Bachelor's degree and 5 years of analytical chemistry experience OR a Master's degree and 3 years of analytical chemistry experience is required.
  • A focused degree in Chemistry or Pharmaceutical Chemistry is preferred.

Experience/ Technical Competencies

  • Required Education/Training and/or Experience:
  • Strong background in Word, experience with Documentum based document storage system is preferred.
  • Strong oral and written communication skills are required.
  • Background in setting specifications is required.
  • Good working knowledge of computer systems is required.
