Job Description:

Retirement Onboarding & Operations (ROO) within Wealth Management Operations (WMO) provides onboarding, plan maintenance and operational support for Institutional and Personal Retirement clients for product lines offered through Retirement and Personal Wealth Solutions (RPWS).

The College Plan Services (CPS) and 529 Operations hybrid position within Personal Retirement Operations will encompass certain responsibilities from both teams. They will be responsible for handling steps of the Regional 529 Account Opening process between the Merrill Lynch Financial Advisor and the Program Manager of the several State Plans that Merrill Lynch offers, as well as assist in reviewing various reports and Advanced Service and Processing System (ASAP) requests that route to 529 Operations.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Maintain extreme organizational skills and assist handling the CPS Regional Application Processing e-mail box

  • Handle inbound ASAP inquiries from branch and home office partners related to the 529 Product

  • Effectively research to problem solve ad-hoc issues with 529 accounts

  • Proactively review numerous reports for 529 accounts regarding trade corrections, invalid portfolios, and more

  • Work efficiently and effectively with internal and external partners to service client requests

  • Support the following Retirement products: Regional 529s, In-House 529 Accounts, Entity 529s, etc.

Required Skills:

  • White-glove service experience

  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills

  • Strong problem solving and decision making skills

  • Strong organization and follow-up skills

  • Must possess the ability to adapt quickly to a dynamic and changing environment

  • Quick learner who can develop expertise promptly

Desired Skills:

  • Knowledge of 529 product

  • College degree preferred

  • Shows initiative

  • Must possess a Meets/Meets rating or higher

  • Must not be on any type of Written Warning or Progressive Discipline
