Human Resources Generalist:
JOB SUMMARY/OBJECTIVE
The Human Resource Generalist serves as a key business partner to the Care Services HR
Department. The role supports the HR function as it related to onboarding, recruitment,
development and engagement of talent, implementation of human resources programs and
employment policies, safety and training, administration of benefits, personnel record-keeping,
and compliance with federal/state laws and regulations. This role will report to the first shift HR Generalist for Care Services in each location.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
*Provide customer service to organization employees.
*Ensures compliance with all federal, state, and local employment laws.
*Organizes engagement activities of the department to support a strong shift and culture and rapport.
*Align with HR Generalist Team and leadership team to establish department goals, objectives and recommend systems updates.
*Manage the execution of personnel policies and procedures.
*Support full cycle benefits administration including open enrollment, claims resolution,
*employee status change reporting.
*Handles employee Federal, State and company leaves of absences, including interactive
process with employees, processing LOA documents, leave reporting, tracking and collection of benefit premium payments in partnership with third party vendors and legal counsel.
*Manage timekeeping system and PTO records to assist with payroll preparation.
*Lead and execute the recruitment strategy for all exempt, nonexempt and temporary workers.
*Responsible for the full talent acquisition life cycle: sourcing, screening, selecting, hiring, and onboarding.
*Implement regular new-hire orientations and onboarding schedules.
*Establishes and maintains department records and reports. Participates in administrative staff meetings. Maintains organizational charts and employee directory.
*Serve as a resource for managers and supervisors in handling employee issues and assist with employee counseling, evaluations, staff training, problem solving, and conflict resolution.
*Coordinate all safety trainings and manage Worker's Compensation claims.
*Adhoc projects related to the ongoing business needs.
JOB REQUIREMENTS (Education, Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities)
Required Education and Experience
*Bachelor's Degree in HR or a related field, with equivalent experience required or minimum 3 - 5 years previous HR generalist experience
*HR certification preferred (PHR, SPHR, SHRM-CP, SHRM-SCP)
*Experience with full life cycle recruiting
*Experience in Benefits administration
*Intermediate knowledge of HR regulations, practices, and techniques
Special Skills:
*Fluent in English, Proficient in Spanish Language is Required
*Proficient knowledge of Microsoft Suite
*Experience with HR systems: Ultipro, Kronos, applicant tracking
*Excellent verbal and written communication skills
