Job description
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
* Provide general clerical support to HR team.
* Maintains HRIS (e.g. Workday) data and other HR related systems & electronic personnel files, ensuring employee profile information, audits organizational charts, documents and manuals are kept current, accurate, confidential, and in compliance with company policies and government regulations. Maintains and updates site-level employee metrics for reporting purposes.
* Maintain personnel files both paper and electronic (including memos, contract and offer changes etc.) throughout employee lifecycle
* Assists payroll team with employment verifications, tuition reimbursement entries, and entry level payroll tax administration
* Assists with termination processing by conducting exit interviews, meeting with employees to review benefit notices and related documentation for employees
* Assists with communications for company policies and practices while advocating both company and employee concerns.
* Assists with the coordination of absence administration, leave of absences and other benefit related matters for employees at assigned location. Partners with HR Business Partners, HR Generalists or Site Leads, Payroll and Benefits team to administer and track leave programs. (Including short-term disability, worker's compensation, FMLA etc in the US.)
* Delegates and responds to HR inquiries via ServiceNow ticketing system
* Contributes to employee recognition efforts by processing reward fulfillment requests
* Carry out all other activities as may be required as time and/or business circumstances necessitate.
OTHER DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
* Adhoc Special HR Projects (e.g., Reporting, Auditing, Job Description Updates, Training, Workday job aid updates, etc.)
* Collaborate with other Generalists/Site Leads to develop and document procedures to streamline processes and ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and work with HR staff to educate Managers.
* Continually increase HR knowledge through participation in user groups, webcasts, trainings, etc. to ensure best practices and to keep up on current trends.

QUALIFICATIONS AND SKILLS NEEDED:

Education
* For US- A BS/BA degree preferably in Business Administration or Psychology with a concentration in Human Resources or related field of study preferred; Familiarity or coursework desired in areas where degree is not held and HR Administration experience in lieu of degree will be considered. PHR or SPHR certification a plus
Experience
* 1-3 or more years in Human Resource functions, with focused experience in employee relations and compliance.
* Strong interpersonal skills, including ability to influence and mediate conflict.
* Ability to exercise good judgment, tact, and confidentiality in all matters.
* Excellent communication skills and ability to work well with others and adapt within a dynamic work environment.
* Good problem solving, communication and presentation skills.
* Well organized and confident to work independently but will be a strong team player willing to take on a variety of tasks to support the HR function
* Excellent MS Office skills including Word and Excel are required. Proficient in PowerPoint and HRIS systems required (preferably ADP and Oracle).
