The Senior Manager, GPV Budgets and Special Initiatives is an experienced global pharmaceutical professional responsible for oversight of the global budgets for GPV as well as assisting in managing special business initiatives as directed by GPV management. This position requires the experience, knowledge, and maturity to think and act globally and locally, in partnership with the executive pharmacovigilance management team: Management of the global budget for GPV. Facilitate interactions with finance business partners globally and across companies, as required. Independent thinker who can identify issues and find resolutions. Lead special business initiatives as directed by GPV management. Supports the implementation of the GPV's departmental strategic priorities by working closely with the Director of the Executive Office. Key Job Responsibilities. The main responsibilities are to: Oversight of the GPV budgets and forecasts across the 12+ companies for which there is global responsibility. GPV finance process and actual spend vs. budget lead. Lead GPV contract executions. Other responsibilities include, but are not limited to: Partner with Executive Office team on project management activities for special business initiatives across GPV such as: HomeFront, Book Club, Otsuka Vine, GPV Vine, etc. Use previous experience and accumulated knowledge to assist with GPV initiatives. Develop and maintain good relationships with other functions to foster positive interactions. Provide technical assistance and support in presenting management decisions. Provide support for various initiatives and investigations through use of tools such as excel and SharePoint. Knowledge, Skills, Competencies, Education, and Experience. Knowledge/Experience: Experience working with vendors. Knowledge of Otsuka organization and culture. Strong strategic decision-making and analytical experience. Proven record of execution to get the desired outcomes. Resourcefulness, passion, persistence, and a positive attitude. Demonstrated qualities of competency, accountability, reliability, and ability to meet deadlines. Minimum of 5 years in pharmaceutical industry in Finance, Clinical, Safety, and/or Project Management. Skills/Education: Strong financial analysis skills. Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills. Strong verbal and writing skills. Strong communication skills. Computer skills with Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook. Proficient in Excel and PowerPoint. Bachelor's Degree minimum. Physical Demands and Work Environment. Travel (approximately 5%).
