Job description

The P/T Finance Assistant at Krietzberg Wealth Management is an opportunity for Wealth Management/Finance Majors interested in portfolio management, financial planning, and other aspects of wealth management, to earn hands-on experience. Krietzberg Wealth Management is a comprehensive financial planning and asset management practice located in Red Bank, NJ. Lincoln Financial Advisors is our broker/dealer.

At the moment, this is a remote position, and all interviewing/training and work will be done remotely. However, the position may convert to an in-person position, so therefore we are only looking for candidates who live a reasonable distance from Red Bank, NJ.

This is not an internship, but we are looking for interested and capable students looking for opportunities to learn the industry and gain valuable experience.

Graduate or undergraduate students who have had some basic coursework in the Wealth Management/Finance/Financial Planning major are preferred. This is not a Corporate Finance or Accounting internship, so students with those majors will not considered.

Responsibilities:

You will work closely with our Senior Investment Associate and our Investment Assistant, who will train and educate you on a variety of tasks, including:

• The preparation of investment proposals;
• Morning Star reports;
• Various elements of client meeting preparation;
• Direct contact with third party companies, including insurance companies, to retrieve information necessary for active cases;
• You will sit in on staff meetings, based on your availability, and may have the opportunity to sit in on Investment Policy Committee meetings
• You may be asked to conduct research regarding fund companies.
• You will assist the team with a variety of other projects that may be administrative in nature, as well as those that will be relevant to the industry or to the running of an investment management practice, including financial plan preparation and insurance planning.
• You will have the opportunity to work with the advisor/owners of the practice and may be asked to assist them with any number of projects.

Requirements:

• Student enrolled in a 2 or 4-year school, or graduate students, majoring in Finance or Financial Planning.
• Completed some of the Finance coursework.
• Mature, respectful and professional attitude.
• Willingness to learn new things and work as a team member.
• Strong computer skills, particularly a strong command of Word, Excel, and Outlook.
• This job is approximately 15 hours weekly, although at points it may fluctuate.
• Any job offer is based on approvals of background and credit check (after fingerprinting is completed) as per federal compliance regulations of the financial industry.

Job Type: Part-time

Pay: $15.00 per hour

Schedule:

• Day shift
• Monday to Friday

COVID-19 considerations:
This is a remote only position at the moment. If and when it converts to an in-person position, it will be located in our Red Bank office, and COVID-19 vaccination will be required at that time.
