Job description

* Position Purpose: Manages Human Resources programs for multiple facilities in the US, Canada, and Mexico. Participates in labor relations and policy development responsibilities. Involves effective administration of existing programs in accordance with established policies and procedures including EEO and ADA compliance.
* Position Summary: Responsible for managing the Human Resource functions for the US, Canada, and Mexico. These functions include employee relations, recruiting and staffing, compensation and benefits administration, and employee communications. Ensures that a proactive positive employee relations climate is developed, reinforced and maintained. Provides Human Resource advice, council, guidance and support to Region, District and individual location management. Reports directly to the Vice President Human Resources, and is a key member of the Regional staff. Recommends, evaluates and participates in staff development. Plans, organizes and controls all activities of the department including goals, objectives and systems. Drives, implements, sustains, and develops quality process improvements that focus on safety, financials, operations and customer service.
* Requirements: Minimum eight (8) years related experience. Previous experience with labor relations preferred. Strong knowledge of federal and state human resources legal compliance.
* Must be able to travel frequently and internationally.
* Education Requirements: Bachelor's degree in Human Resources.
* Skills: Excellent communications skills to include oral written and listening. Strong coaching and counseling skills.
* Licenses/Certification: PHR/SPHR preferred.
* Physical Requirements: Able to lift, bend, stoop, squat, reach, crouch and kneel. Sits for long periods of time.
* Additional Requirements: Able to read instructions, numbers and writes legibly in English. Proficient with Personal Computers and applicable software applications including MS Office. Follows supervisor's instructions and works amicably with co-workers. Bi-lingual in Spanish is preferred
