Job Description

We are looking for an Officer Manager / Accountant to join our team in Roselle, New Jersey. Youll be responsible for overseeing the daily operations of our office, reconciling the companys bank statements and bookkeeping ledgers, managing day-to-day payroll functions, assisting in keeping good and accurate income and expenditure accounts, and generating the companys financial reports using income and expenditure data while ensuring records are accurate and taxes are paid.

Our ideal candidate should be able to create detailed financial reports, have experience with maintaining inventory accounting systems, managing accounting software and certain payroll functions and performing basic office manager roles including monitoring and ordering office supplies as necessary and organizing maintenance companies to keep the office clean and safe, keeping track of bottling procedures for our bottling team.

You should possess excellent analytical skills along with the ability to work with a small and dynamic team. Experience within the spirits production industry is preferred, but not required.

ACCOUNTING/OFFICE MANAGER RESPONSIBILITIES

* Record journal entry transactions in Quickbooks or similar accounting software system, assisting in month-end and year-end closings
* Keep an accurate record of inventory tracking procedures using an inventory management system
* Perform payroll functions including keeping accurate payroll records, paying payroll taxes in a timely manner, ensuring wages and benefits are paid
* Assist CFO in completion of monthly, quarterly and annual reporting packages including internal management books in accordance with U.S. GAAP
* Assistin maintaining appropriate internal accounting controls and procedures on a monthly basis
* Assist with the preparation of tax and audit work papers
* Review standard and actual costs for inaccuracies
* Assist CFO in preparation of budgeting reports (for the company and for each department)
* Monitor and order office and warehouse supplies, furniture, and office computer hardware as needed
* Maintain office and warehouse safety procedures are up-to-date and displayed within the office, such as keeping safety procedures, human resource posters visible and current
* Communicate general employee announcements and important company news to staff
* Report employee production issues to senior management
* Train new office employees and organize new employment paperwork
* Answer telephone calls and emails from customers and suppliers and directing them to relevant staff
* Identify and recommend cost-effective solutions for both office and warehouse operations
