The Lab Operations team owns the business process for enterprise lab automation systems and the implementation and post-implementation support across the Catalent Business Units and sites. The team partners with Information Technology (IT) to establish and define the user requirements for deployment of the lab automation solutions. A key focus is continuous improvement to support the growth of the business, improve operating efficiencies, and influence decisions regarding business process changes and capital investments of laboratory systems and equipment.
The primary responsibilities of this position are to perform business analysis, support lab network standardization, and provide the implementation and post-implementation support across the Catalent Business Units and sites. This position will play a key role on the global implementation teams which will be responsible for defining standard global business processes, configuring, testing, and validating the software solutions, and deploying the solutions across all Catalent sites. The role works collaboratively with IT, the global deployment team, and the local business serving as an expert resource to implement and manage solutions that meet the business need.
Location: Remote, near a Catalent facility.
The Role
- Works closely with the IT, Operations, Quality, and R&D organizations to develop standardized global business processes that support laboratory operations.
- Develops and updates required system deliverables including, but not limited to, SRS documentation, Global Standard Processes, test scripts, procedures, and training materials.
- Contributes to the documentation, design and testing of laboratory systems.
- Executes plans to educate and train the user community on related topics and applications.
- Develops and implements processes to effectively transition post-implementation activities to support.
- Ensures that deployed systems comply with all applicable GxP, legal, and fiduciary policies, practices, and requirements.
- Bachelor's or Master's Degree in Computer Science, Physical or Life Sciences, or other related field or equivalent experience.
- 5+ years' experience in implementing Laboratory Automation Systems (LabVantage LIMS preferred, CDS, ELN, and SDMS) in a global environment.
- 2+ years of relevant work experience in Quality Control laboratories in a regulated environment
- Pharmaceutical and/or life sciences experience strongly preferred.
- Knowledge of industry trends, best practices & operating principles.
- Computer System Validation, 21 CFR Part 11, Annex 11, and general GxP experience preferred.
