Job description

The Human Resources Business Partner (HRBP) supports assigned business offices or field facilities by promoting, communicating and implementing human resources strategies and initiatives. They'll build and maintain influential relationships by being a strategic partner with management and an employee advocate and provide guidance on employment law. The HRBP acts as an expert on human resources policies and procedures such as payroll, benefits, compensation, employee development, and recruiting.

Specific Responsibilities:

  • Recruits key talent and participates in all talent acquisition activities for the organization
  • Consults with staff and management, providing HR guidance when appropriate
  • Analyzes trends and metrics to develop solutions, programs and policies
  • Manages/resolves complex employee relations issues
  • Maintains in-depth knowledge of legal requirements related to day-to-day management of employees, reducing legal risks and ensuring regulatory compliance
  • Provides day-to-day performance management guidance to line management (coaching, counseling, career development, disciplinary actions)
  • Works closely with management and employees to improve work relationships, build morale, and increase productivity and retention
  • Provides HR policy creation, guidance, and interpretation
  • Provides guidance/input on department restructures, workforce planning and succession planning
  • Identifies training needs for departments/field facilities and individual coaching needs. Participates in evaluation/monitoring of success of training programs

Education & Experience:

  • Bachelor's degree and relevant industry experience
  • Minimum of 8 to 10 years' experience resolving complex employee relations issues
  • PHR or SPHR Certification preferred.
  • Working knowledge of multiple human resource disciplines, including compensation, organizational diagnosis, employee relations, performance management, and federal and state respective employment laws
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office, HRIS and payroll systems
  • Excellent verbal and written communication and negotiation skills
