Cognizant has an opening for a corporate paralegal with 7+ years of broad corporate and securities experience. M&A experience is a plus.

Key Responsibilities Include:

• Assisting in the management of documents and filings for the Company's 200+ subsidiaries around the world.
• Assisting in the preparation of Section 16 filings.
• Providing support on matters relating to the board of directors and senior management, including with respect to board meetings, the annual meeting of shareholders and corporate governance matters.
• Assisting in the preparation of other corporate policies and documents and record-keeping.
• Communicating with other functions with respect to corporate and securities matters.

Desired Qualifications:

• Undergraduate degree from a well-recognized institution and a paralegal certificate from an ABA-approved program.
• Experience working on corporate, securities and transactional matters at a law firm or a publicly-traded company.
• Must have the ability to organize, coordinate and implement multiple large and ongoing projects simultaneously and the ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Must be detail-oriented and have excellent written and oral communication skills.
• Must have the flexibility and ability to work with fast-changing priorities.
• Must have good judgment, a high level of professional integrity and the discretion, tact, and ability to maintain confidentiality.

• Teaneck, NJ or New York, NY (New York area).
