Ocean Health Initiatives, Inc. (OHI) is a Federally Qualified Health Center (FQHC) dedicated to providing quality, accessible and comprehensive primary health care to the residents of Ocean and Monmouth County; regardless of economic status.


Our Health Center Locations: Brick, Freehold, Lakewood, Little Egg Harbor, Manahawkin, Manchester and Toms River; with our school-based Wellness Programs located within the Clifton Ave Grade School, Lakewood; and Lakewood High School.

OHI services include family and internal medicine, pediatrics, behavioral health, nutrition, OB/GYN women's health, dental, family planning, specialty care, pharmacies, PrEP, and a STI clinic.

Hours:
Full-time hours are M-F 8:00am- 4:30pm with rotating evening/Saturday shifts (subject to seasonal changes and business/site needs)


Position Summary:

Reporting to the Housekeeping Director. Performs a variety of general cleaning tasks to maintain patient rooms, offices, hallways, waiting areas and other assigned areas of the practice sites. Reports to clinical team regarding blood spills and follows all guidelines for cleanup.

Responsibilities:

  1. Exam room cleaning including exam tables, sinks, counters, cabinet doors, walls, furniture, light fixtures and switches, dispensers, hampers, door handles and frames, trash containers, windows, ledges, dust computers, sweep and mop floor and project work.
  2. Sweeps and mops all floors on a daily basis including behind exam tables in all patient exam rooms.
  3. Disposes of site trash on a daily basis and more frequently as needed. Cleans and relines waste receptacles promptly.
  4. Cleans all equipment after each use and store promptly.
  5. Sweeps outside grounds and parking areas daily and more frequently as needed.
  6. Utilizing chemical dispenser appropriately.
  7. Set-up cleaning cart and barrel
  8. Perform isolation cleaning procedures
  9. Vacuum, sweeps, mops and disinfects all counters, surface and bathrooms of the Mobile Medical Unit.
  10. Requests and maintains PAR level of cleaning supplies.
  11. Detail cleans bathrooms, disinfects sinks, cleans equipment and all surfaces daily.
  12. Dust all areas twice weekly including window ledges and all other surfaces.
  13. Complete housekeeping assignments in a timely manner
  14. Maintain satisfactory results on Housekeeping Score Cards Quality Improvement Inspections
  15. Ability to complete Housekeeping Scope of Responsibility
  16. Follow Policy and Procedures
  17. Completes all mandatory in-services timely and attends all required in-service meetings.
  18. Constantly strives to achieve excellence in day-to-day operations of respective department.
  19. Adheres to Corporate Compliance policies.
  20. Consistently Practices The Code.
  21. Checks email on a daily basis.
  22. Other duties as assigned.

Education and Experience:
