Job description

What You'll Do:

As an Associate Business Analyst within the Billtrust Product team, you will be responsible for building the specifications and requirements for future features and product enhancements. You will be part of a highly collaborative team working hard to delight our customers. While there will be key projects you make progress on every day, you will be counted on to support other efforts as needs arise within the organization no day will be exactly like the last. In order to drive success, you will be responsible for reviewing a variety of data sources to craft the story of what we need to build. You will work closely with an engineering team ensuring successful development outcomes which address the business need.

At Billtrust, you will be an essential contributor to our most quickly developing order to cash products and will be immersed in emerging financial technologies while having the opportunity to build a successful career in the Fintech space.

  • Develop a deep understanding of our products and data to drive customer success
  • Analyse complex data in a variety of formats (file, email, pdf, online portal) coming in from customers, third party platforms, and other Billtrust products
  • Write requirements for the engineering team through JIRA (our ticketing system) and parse out requirements from business stakeholders and end users; challenge what doesn't make sense and tell the story of the data
  • Inform your peers of your timelines and blockers, support the team and help to provide our customers with high quality products
  • Partner with your Product Owners to orchestrate initiatives and goals for both your own work and engineer work
  • Document the processes you build (Confluence) which will help us as we continue to scale and train others on and off the team
What You'll Bring to the Team:
  • Proven ability to analyze data and provide valuable business insights and suggestions - 2+ years of relevant experience preferred
  • Love of problem solving - will always go the extra mile to solve today's problem and prevent tomorrow's
  • Prior experience working with CSV, delimited, XML and other types of data files in Microsoft Excel
  • Attention to detail - experience in data entry / quality
  • Experience in SQL analysis (or other similar languages) a plus
  • Experience in ticketing / case systems related to customer support or software teams a plus
  • Proven ability to interface with internal and external clients to manage expectations and deadlines; i.e. scheduling, communication, escalation and risk analysis
Target Base Compensation: $55,000.00 - $70,000.00

Please note that the compensation information that follows is a good faith estimate for Colorado-based hires only and is provided pursuant to the Colorado Equal Pay for Equal Work Act and Equal Pay Transparency Rules. Billtrust intends to offer the selected candidate base pay within this range, dependent on job-related, non-discriminatory factors such as experience and location.
