Job description

Position Summary:

This individual is responsible for the handling of customer transactions at the teller line.

Duties & Responsibilities:

• Serve customers by accurately and promptly performing transactions.
• Maintain excellent customer service skills.
• Generate customer interest in other products and services of the bank through knowledge of the current customer banking relationship.
• Help the team grow customer relationships by making sales referrals when appropriate.
• Effectively address customer service issues and/or concerns or escalate to appropriate person.
• Balance teller drawer on a daily basis.
• Maintain customer confidence and protect the bank by adhering to all rules, regulations, policies and procedures.
• Assumes additional responsibilities as required.
• This position requires excellent communication, sales and organizational skills. Cash handling, math and decision-making skills are also required.

Qualifications

• Prior teller experience preferred; or minimum 2+ years' experience working with people or customers and cash handling experience.
• Demonstrated skill in use of computers.
• Reliable attendance.
• Ability to work a schedule that includes working on Saturday.
• Excellent communication and organizational skills.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $15.00 - $19.00 per hour

Education:

• High school or equivalent (Preferred)

Experience:

• Cash handling: 2 years (Preferred)
• Banking: 1 year (Preferred)
• Customer service: 1 year (Preferred)
