TITLE: Laboratory Technician
TYPE: Contract to Hire
LOCATION: Hamilton NJ
START DATE: Immediate
SHIFT: Night Shift Tuesday - Friday 10 pm - 8 am

Looking to hire multiple Laboratory Technicians to support clinical laboratories. The Laboratory Technician will be responsible for performing PCR Testing. They need to be highly proficient with data analysis and have worked in high throughput labs.

Responsibilities:

• Adhere to all safety guidelines, including the appropriate use of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE).
• Follow the laboratory's procedures for specimen handling and processing, test analysis, reporting, and maintaining records of patient test results.
• Use quality control policies to document all quality control activities, instrument and procedural calibrations, and maintenance performed.
• Apply established policies and procedures whenever test systems are not within the laboratory's established acceptable levels.
• Document all corrective actions are taken when test systems deviate from the laboratory's established performance. Specifications; and perform high complexity testing only under the onsite, direct supervision of a general supervisor.

Requirements:

• A minimum of a bachelor's degree in Biology, Microbiology, or related field.
• Professional experience working with PCR, qPCR, and/or RT-PCR is a must-have. Academic experience may be sufficient.
• Strong understanding of modern laboratory techniques
• Must be able to wear appropriate Personal Protective Equipment (PPE)
• Meets education and experience equivalent to guidelines mandated by Centers of Medicare and Medicaid Services
• Based on the work assignment, may be recommended to have medical testing following the company's Occupational Health Program
