Job Title
Sr Portfolio Operations Manager
In this role you will...
Support the execution of consistent, data-driven, enterprise-wide innovation pipeline and portfolio decision making.
Key Responsibilities
Drive consistent execution and support continuous improvement in the following areas:
Pipeline data management
- Consolidate relevant pipeline data from within PPM / financial system
- Ensure pipeline data integrity, driving updates as required, to ensure accurate reporting
- Create new projects into PPM system
- Partner with Finance to incorporate innovation sales performance into reports
Pipeline Reporting
- Design, creation, and visualization of key pipeline reports (e.g. Power BI)
- Execution and dissemination of relevant pipeline information and reports to governances and leadership including:
- Project-level governance meetings
- Business Unit, Category, cross-BU, cross-Category portfolio reviews
- CHLT, RDLT, 3/1 planning, JV Board etc
- Ad hoc reports and analyses (whilst striving for standardization) from Power BI to support business requests
- Partner with relevant CH portfolio, when teams o partners to enable consistent pipeline and portfolio decision making
- Maintain timesheet reporting process and report monthly compliance levels
Portfolio tools & ways of working
- Support enhancements for enterprise portfolio prioritization and analyses
- Drive compliance and consistency of innovation project scorecard data
- Support capability building and best-practice sharing within PPM org and key stakeholders
- Drive compliance of governance use of PPM system as the pipeline single source of truth
Portfolio & Project Management Systems
- Partner with portfolio & project management system business owner(s) and users to perform maintenance and enhancements of portfolio and project management functionality
- Identify/remedy anomalies in Power BI reporting and analytics
- Manage user access to systems and provide user system training
Why you?
Qualifications & Skills:
- 5 years relevant experience (e.g. Financial analysis, Portfolio management, Business Analysis, Data modelling)
- Strong conceptual and analytical skills
- Excellent communication skills, including the ability to engage and influence peers
- Experience of working in a global, matrixed organization, integrating complex multifunctional efforts crossing multiple business areas
- Familiarity with portfolio & project management systems use and functionality
Preferred Qualifications & Skills:
- Solid understanding of portfolio and project management systems
- Proven delivery of effective project portfolio management practices across a global portfolio
- Good understanding of the key business processes and functions within a global consumer healthcare company
- Ability to influence with or without authority at levels above and below own grade level
- Ability to manage and deliver across multiple competing priorities and stakeholders
- Data visualization and manipulation expertise
