On-boarding/Off-boarding HR Assistant
Type: Full-time

Anchor Behavioral Solutions (ABS) is hiring immediately for a Temp-to-Perm On-boarding/Off-boarding HR Assistant in West Orange, NJ. In this role, you will assist primarily with On/Offboarding, updating multiple HR databases concerning the employee lifecycle, and providing relevant information by preparing presentations for internal communications, and perform other duties as assigned.

Overview of Essential Functions:

Prepares, reviews and processes new hire paperwork in HRIS system. Sets up new applicants and follows up on outstanding references. Coordinates pre-employment screening process with new hires (background/drug testing as needed). Communicates with new hires & hiring manager throughout the onboarding process for a timely & positive onboarding experience. Review paperwork for completion. Enters employees in HRIS & other systems. Communicates work eligibility of new hire to required individuals. Processes termination requests in HRIS and all other systems, and notifies employees of next steps by sending various communications i.e., exit interviews, benefits, unemployment, etc.

Maintains the HRIS database by inputting new hires and personnel data in a timely and accurate manner, staff certifications, and other employee related documents in HRIS. Assists staff with any system login issues, password reset requests, and personal information updates. Maintains personnel files (physical & electronic) including filing new hires and updates in a timely manner, assisting with regular file audits. Assists in various Human Resources projects and events. All other duties as assigned.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • High School degree or equivalent experience required
  • Experience with internet database programs and web-based research.
  • Strong organizational skills and professional demeanor.
  • High level Customer service and interpersonal skills
  • At least 1+ years of HR/Onboarding experience
  • Excellent Verbal and written communication skills
  • Attention to detail
  • Ability to work independently and manage one's time
  • Proficient with computer applications, such as Microsoft Word and Excel

Key Skill for success: Eye for detail. Able to multitask. Able to prioritize. Process oriented, Sound written and verbal communication skills. Onboarding experience. Bilingual preferred but not required.

Job Types: Full-time, Temporary

Pay: $15.00 - $18.00 per hour
