Position Objective

The Sales Incentive Compensation Specialist will work closely with Sales Management, Finance, Human Resources and Legal to assist in the development, implementation and maintenance of all KMBS sales compensation and incentive plans that meet the strategic objectives of the company.

Essential Job Functions
  • Influence sales leadership on sales compensation best practices to drive achievement of our business goals.
  • Provide recommendations on plan design based upon desired outcomes and analytics on ad-hoc promotions and changes to plans
  • Monitor plan effectiveness and communicate this feedback to sales management and executives on a periodic basis.
  • Perform analysis of commission earning to ensure proper accruals and performance to assumptions in design,
  • Develop and communicate annual presentation materials for new and/or updated incentive plans to sales management and executives.
  • Conduct market research on incentive-based pay positions and provide feedback to business unit leaders on competitiveness and internal equity of plans.
  • Maintain a central repository of all plans for Konica Minolta.
  • Establish policies and procedures for approvals of plan changes, quota changes, special programs, minimum income requests and employees on leave.
  • Work closely with the Commissions team (Finance) to ensure accuracy of payments under all plans.
  • Manage issues that are raised by Commission team and plan participants which may require escalation to senior management.
  • Assist in mergers and acquisitions to assimilate commission plans for newly acquired companies.
  • Stay up-to-date on trends and developments within sales compensation and recognition practices, constantly researching and implementing best practices as appropriate.
  • Provide reporting and analysis as requested.

  • Outstanding analytic skills and the ability to work with large data sets from multiple sources
  • Demonstrated experience in designing commercial analytical methods
  • Excellent presentation skills - present analyses/findings in a compelling manner
  • Ability to work cross functionally and collaborate effectively with business partners
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to handle opposing priorities work effectively and independently within time constraints
  • Detailed oriented with strong organizational skills
  • Expert proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint)
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, to all levels in the organization
  • Proficient in project management
  • Ability to work independently in a fast paced and dynamic environment
  • Ability to compile and analyze data
  • Ability to run ad-hoc reports
Experience, Educational Reqts and Certifications
  • BA/BS degree
  • 5+ years of compensation experience
  • 3+ years sales force incentive compensation experience, SAP CRM and Callidus experience a plus
