Bell - Textron is Seeking a Logistics Support Representative to support the U.S. Air Force CV-22 Program efforts located on Cannon AFB, Clovis, New Mexico.
* Applicant is responsible for maintaining the necessary expertise within the customer's organization to ensure adequate logistical support utilizing the military and industrial supply system and procedures.
* Advises and acts as a consultant to the customer regarding maintenance planning, supply, test and support equipment, transportation and handling, facilities, data and computer resources, and expediting material from other areas that concern supply support.
Position Responsibilities:
* Candidate must analyze daily helicopter status reports, charts reflecting readiness and coordinate with appropriate internal and customer personnel to correct deficiencies.
* Knowledge of Bell Textron and military systems, procedures, customer manuals and publications to enable the acquisition of support material as well as track all shipments to satisfy the urgency required.
* Will serve as inventory control manager at assigned site; responsible and accountable for all items under your direct cognizance, i.e., spares, tools, Bell and government furnished equipment, records of receipts, issues, storage, shipping of support items and support packages based upon the off-site program.
* Responsible to submit daily reports to Bell and customer on customer deficiencies that impact helicopter readiness that may affect the overall relationship.
* Coordinates with the customer and vendor to repair items of support when necessary to increase the overall helicopter readiness.
* Evaluates supply/maintenance procedures and recommend changes when necessary. Government bonded stores: coordinates shipments, expedite AOG material, review records, accountability of inventory, return and turnaround of repairables, final transition to customer control.
* Provide usage data by utilizing on-site terminal, which will assist in maintaining an adequate inventory of spare parts.
* Travel with the squadron to off-site locations to include overseas will be required 5%
MINIMUM EDUCATIONAL & EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS
* HS Diploma
* Personal computer proficiency with word processing, spreadsheet and database applications along with excellent oral and writing skills.
* Minimum of two-years experience working with the Supply Chain information management and transaction system.
* Knowledge of Air Force Aviation supply system
PREFERRED
* Four-year degree in related field and extensive logistical experience with military and/or commercial helicopters; or two years of college and additional extensive logistical experience working with military and/or commercial helicopters. Extensive military or industry training may be substituted for some college.
