DESCRIPTION
Honeywell is looking for an experienced Systems Engineer who will deliver working solutions for fast prototypes, demonstration, and production-style environments. The successful candidate will also have program execution experience in the requirements specification, engineering development, integration, and testing of complex mechanical / optical / electrical / software / environmental / and control systems. The successful candidate will partner with world class scientists, engineers, and leaders to provide systems, manufacturing, logistics, and reliability engineering methods and artifacts to help innovate and advance the state-of-the-art.
Key Responsibilities

Managing requirements from elicitation, definition/capture, decomposition, allocation, prioritization, tracking, traceability, test mapping and derived identification.

Developing CONOPS directly with customer and stakeholders.

Developing Voice of the Customer (VOC) analysis.

Performing alternative architecture analysis and definition.

System and functional level architecture definition, modeling and analysis.

Utilize system modeling tools and techniques to include:

Experienced with requirements management tools such as DOORS and TeamCenter.

SySML system modeling tools.

Use Case modeling.

Matlab/SimuLink modeling and analysis tools.

Analyzing and studying complex system controls requirements.

Application of formal methods/specifications for requirements analysis.

Ability to trade-off, analyzes, and resolves conflicting customer and subordinate requirements.

Must be able to span multiple control domains, such as application, mechanical, optical, electrical, laser, software, thermal, and vacuum.

System integration experience.

Understanding of testing process and procedures for life-cycle development phase gates.

Identifying and tracking design errors and defects across multiple domains.

Familiarity with manufacturability, maintainability, and reliability analysis and concepts.

Familiarity with different types of testing: system testing, integration testing, black box/white box testing, regression testing, automated testing, acceptance testing.

Verification and validation (IV&V) using emerging analysis techniques.

Functional configuration audits.

Must be able to develop documentation required for both technical and training requirements.

YOU MUST HAVE

  • Bachelor's degree
  • Minimum 5 years of Systems/Mechanical/Controls/Electrical Engineering background
  • U.S. citizenship required in order to obtain and maintain government security clearance

WE VALUE

  • Master's degree or PhD in Systems Engineering, Manufacturing Engineer, Electrical Engineering, Physics, Mechanical Engineering, or related field.
  • Proficiency with MatLab, LabView, ANSYS, ProE, Solidworks, and/or toolpath
  • Experience with CONOPS development.
  • Experience in performing system audits to ensure intended system functionality, operation and performance requirements are achieved.
  • Excellent communication and leadership skills, both verbal and written
