Job description

Our client is hiring for Laboratory Information Systems (LIS) Analyst in Brooklyn, New York. This role offers a salary between $90,000 and $100,000 annually, depending on experience.

In this role, you'll be responsible for providing support in relation to Laboratory systems implementation, education, upgrades, and post-implementation support for the Department of Laboratory/Pathology and other Departments that interface with this Department. You will design, code, test, document, and maintain complex applications; design and implement new systems features and customizations, including the writing of SQL/SQR, query.

As the Laboratory Information Systems (LIS) Analyst, you will:

Meet with users in order to define system requirements.
Designs, codes, and implements Laboratory and Pathology systems including reporting customizations.
Performs system testing of new modules, enhancements and upgrades.
Educates users regarding new systems functionality and as needed.
Provides nd user support for Laboratory and Pathology applications and translates those needs into the development of tests plans.

Qualifications:

3-5 years of systems experience as a LIS Analyst and/or MLT in a hospital setting with LIS database knowledge experience.
2 years of college or technical training. Professional licensure is a plus where appropriate, MLT is preferred
Preferred: A 4-year degree in Computer Science or a Master degree in Informatics with professional licensure, where appropriate.
Technical training with certification (e.g., CNE, Network Engineering). Professional licensure where appropriate.
