DescriptionDICK'S Sporting Goods is seeking a full-time Assistant Maintenance Manager to join our distribution center team in Conklin, NY. The Assistant Maintenance Manager is responsible for the Fulfillment Center maintenance program including material handling systems, conveyor systems, automation, controls systems, janitorial, and housekeeping. Assists manager of maintenance in developing the budget for the Fulfillment Center. Executes strategic programs and projects assigned by manager of maintenance in the fulfillment center (250k sq ft) that tie into the holistic maintenance program. Shift-- Monday-Friday 7:00am-4:00pm Plus on call for emergencies Essential Functions of this position include: Coordinate maintenance activities with dept. managers for needed repairs. Assist with coordination of outside vendors & contractors to ensure compliance with safety & security standards. Assist with the facilities maintenance budget for preventive, predictive and corrective maintenance requirements Prepare & maintain accurate records, reports & paperwork associated with maintenance operations. Manage maintenance resources to provide an efficient & cost effective operation. Ensure proper preventive maintenance is tracked using CMMS Collaborate with safety specialist on all related issues. Coordinate all department projects and assist with capital projects as required. Communicate directly with facility departments to coordinate maintenance and repair activities. Communicate regularly with all maintenance/janitorial personnel, both individually and as a group Assist with managing the maintenance costs to ensure the budgeting process is accurate and the department meets the business requirements. Maintain adequate, cost effective inventories of supplies, spare parts and maintenance materials for repairs Plan, schedule and supervise the maintenance/janitorial personnel in the performance of their daily activities. Assist with ensuring that the facility is up to date on all OSHA requirements and that they are adhered to Create and sustain a positive work environment for team members. Provide a safe environment for all personnel, ensure that all safety requirements and regulations are being adhered to. Assist with the hiring and training of our team members and perform regular performance evaluations. Provide the continuous development of team members through training, coaching, monitoring and problem solving QualificationsSuccess Profile: High School Diploma or Equivalent 5-7 years' experience Maintenance Management role. Knowledge of robotics and automation preferred Technological Requirements: Microsoft Outlook/Word/Excel/PowerPoint Knowledge of a CMMS program Knowledge of programmable logic controls Previous and proven work with conveyors Working knowledge of electrical, mechanical, hydraulic, pneumatic, and automated systems including robotics Knowledge, Skills and Abilities: Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Business acumen Customer-service oriented Strong interpersonal & client consultation skills Self-motivated & results oriented Supervisory & leadership capabilities Knowledge of OSHA guidelines & regulations Working knowledge of Lockout/Tag-out procedures Understanding Preventative/predictive & corrective principles and techniques
