The Reporting Analyst works under the general supervision of the Associate Manager - Reporting and MLM. They are responsible for the development, maintenance and support of clinical system applications and upgrades. Oversees and designs any reporting and MLM requirements and new implementations. The Reporting Analyst will be responsible for reporting functions, project implementation and customer support for our client, Nassau University Medical Center in East Meadows, NY.

Responsibilities:

  • Possess entry-level technical knowledge of Sunrise Clinical Manager Reporting and MLM configuration
  • Responsible for maintenance of Sunrise Clinical Manager and Clinical Performance Manager reports
  • Responsible for maintaining hot fixes for Sunrise Analytics application; and maintaining daily logs.
  • Configured Sunrise Clinical Analytics for Meaningful Use attestation, continue to ensure Sunrise application changes don't affect MU configuration standards.
  • Work with Hospital departments to understand the customer's regulatory, patient safety and workflow requirements in order to design the application to meet all of the needs.
  • Identify discrepancies between the Customer needs and the Software capabilities.
  • Continually research new features and defects related to Reporting and MLM build, that may affect or benefit the customer.
  • Works on multiple initiatives while prioritizing maintenance tasks.
  • Testing of new software functionality to determine the effect on current workflow and design.
  • Assess new features as they relate to current Sunrise design and workflow.
  • Provide implementation support during activations.
  • Leads and participates in workgroups.
  • Provide 24x7 coverage for after-hours Support calls during the team rotation schedule.
  • Provide support and training for Device Integration, Clinical documentation, as well as any other assigned projects.
  • Expert advisor for Clinical documentation, charges, Sunrise Analytics.

Qualifications:

Academic and Professional Qualifications:
  • BA or BS degree preferred and/or other relevant combination of training and experience
  • IT Certifications preferred

Experience:
  • 2-5 years Health IT industry experience preferred
  • 2-5 years experience developing, designing and maintaining reports
  • 2-5 years providing technical and application support on clinical applications
  • Analytical skills that allow for the development of data-driven reports
  • Demonstrated ability to manage time and prioritize projects to meet deadlines
  • Proficiency with writing SQL queries and stored procedures
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Visual Studio, Microsoft Office Suite
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills to effectively relate data to coworkers
  • Excellent critical thinking skills to help solve business problems and make decisions
  • Tendency to pay close attention to small details that could impact results
  • General knowledge of business operations, objectives, strategies, processes and information flow

Travel Requirements:
  • May require local travel
  • May require other travel for business needs

Working Arrangements:
  • Will require after hours on-call support
  • Work is performed in a standard office environment with minimal exposure to health or safety hazards
