Due to our continuous success and high demand from our customers, Quantexa is looking for a dedicated insurance focussed Solution Engineering Lead for the Americas. This leader will be a technology advocate and client evangelist for the region, helping us continue to grow and meet our customer demands in the United States & Canada.

Wile the role is advertised as New York Based we would be happy to consider candidates who are based on the Ease Coast of the US for this role.

Opportunity

We are looking for an experienced pre-sales solution engineer who has a proven background within technology & software alongside exceptional client facing skills. The candidate must show leadership in order to interface with senior technology and operational executives within North Americas largest and most successful insurance organizations, helping to explain the business value our technology delivers and how it works. They must also be able to lead and support internal and external cross-functional teams during bid processes, client design processes and workshops.

The Quantexa Solution Engineering team is the first touchpoint for prospect organisations within the Quantexa Customer Office (QCO) and builds the foundations of the customer journey. The team ensures:

* The right Quantexa solution is identified at the right time for our prospects
* Our solution value proposition and differentiators are pitched perfectly
* Sales opportunities are well qualified and aligned to our industry goals and market strategy
* Clients understand the business benefit and that business cases are well written and trusted
* Prospects are set up for success from the outset with a technology perspective to deliver value

Requirements

We are looking for someone with strong technical and business solution expertise but also an enthusiasm for getting our clients the best solution for their needs. The candidate will demonstrate and articulate complex technical concepts in a clear and understandable way through presentations as well as product demonstrations and deep dives. They will also be a key spokesperson for our insurance solutions and work alongside our insurance solution owner to be an evangelist at industry events and webinars.

You will work with clients to uncover and understand their business problems and then articulate how we are able to solve them utilizing Quantexa software. In doing some you will become a trusted advisor and a functional expert for our clients.

Location

Our East Coast offices are in NYC, Boston and Toronto and this role may require the need to travel between these locations as well as client locations regularly to meet business demand.

Skills and experience

Required:

* Proven experience in technology pre-sales and/or solution engineering and articulating business value with strong presentation skills
* Experience discovering and understanding business problems for clients & leading/managing complex bid processes and Proof of Concepts (POCs)
* Ability to challenge sales and commercial teams to execute on sales strategies
* Collaborate with our solution architects, product teams and domain SMEs to ensure success
* Experience leading / managing cross-functional teams
* Track record in working with executives at insurance organisations
* Be an engaging presenter who's comfortable in front of audiences of all sizes
* Excellent written and verbal communication.

Beneficial experience:

* Have strong insurance industry experience or within a subject matter expertise role
* Architecture knowledge, especially within the area of enterprise software
* Experience with entity resolution / MDM / Graph analytics / Big data technologies
* Experience of data management, customer intelligence, anti-fraud or financial crime.
* Experience with or knowledge of leading technologies such as Apache Spark, Hadoop, Elastic Search, Docker, Kubernetes/OpenShift, Microservices, REST APIs, Kafka, Scala, Spring Boot etc.
* Experience with one or more cloud providers (AWS, GCP, Azure)
