Job Details The Division of Hematologic Malignancies within Memorial Sloan Kettering's Department of Medicine consists of six services: Adult Bone Marrow Transplantation, Cellular Therapy, Hematology, Leukemia, Lymphoma, and Myeloma. As nationally and internationally recognized leaders in their fields, members of our team are central players in advancing clinical research and establishing the standard of care for patients with hematologic cancers. Our division is dedicated to treating patients with a variety of blood cancers as well as some benign hematologic diseases. We also oversee bone marrow and stem cell transplants both autologous and allogeneic in more than 400 patients each year. Close collaboration between our physicians and scientists allows us to provide patients with top-quality clinical care while we develop groundbreaking therapies to prevent, control, and ultimately cure cancer. We are seeking an Administrative Assistant to support Dr. Marcel van den Brink, Division Head of Hematologic Malignancies.You Are:An effective communicator, capable of determining how best to reach different audiences and executing communications based on that understandingFlexible in your approach and demeanor in order to align with the shifting demands of evolving circumstancesAdept at creating partnerships and working collaboratively to meet shared objectives and goalsCapable of building strong customer relationships and delivering customer-centric solutionsA good decision-maker, with proven success at making timely decisions that keep the organization moving forwardWilling to take action and eager to accept new opportunities and tough challenges with high energy, and passionYou Will:Manage and maintain the academic office, provide administrative support to the Division Head, and assist the Director in support of the Division as necessaryPerform various clerical and administrative duties, including but not limited to extensive calendar management, organizing travel arrangements, coordinating meetings, processing reimbursements, assisting with grant review submissions, and legal contracts/conflict of interest submissionsIndependently prepare/produce documents including memos, correspondence, reports, scientific presentations, and manuals as required, including writing meeting minutes to contribute to the smooth operations of the division Complete required paperwork/communication tools for the department while ensuring accuracy and meeting established timelines Assist and participate in projects, including coordinating the weekly Divisional Grand Rounds lecture seriesYou Have:High School Diploma/GEDTwo years of proven experience in an administrative roleProficiency in Microsoft OfficeKnowledge of medical terminologyHours:Monday-Friday 9am-5pm, 3 days onsitemm#LI-Post
