Assistant Professor (Chemical Biology)

Job Description

The Department of Chemistry at New York University (NYU) invites applications for a tenure-track faculty position in Chemical Biology, subject to administrative and budgetary approval. The successful applicant is anticipated to be appointed as Assistant Professor. Successful candidates must have a Ph.D. in chemistry or related field and demonstrate the potential to do pioneering research and teach effectively at the undergraduate and graduate levels. The Department of Chemistry is continuing a significant growth plan, including the creation of the Biomedical Chemistry Institute, the Molecular Design Institute, and the addition of numerous senior and junior faculty members. The exciting new Chemical Biology Initiative includes the addition of more than 60,000 square feet of new research space. Interested faculty are able to participate in significant interdisciplinary programs within the Washington Square campus, as well as with NYU's engineering and medical schools, and scholarly activities at its campuses in Shanghai and Abu Dhabi.
