The Associate, Capital Markets will report to the VP. Together with the Capital Markets team, the Associate will be responsible for supporting Link senior management and the Blackstone team in all analytics, reporting, and deliverables related to Link's capital structure and financial performance. Responsibilities will be wide-ranging and will include ongoing evaluation and underwriting of the business, as well as the structuring and execution of strategic capital markets transactions.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
Build and maintain financial models and run company/fund/portfolio-level analytics on an ongoing and ad-hoc basis
Create presentations for Link senior management, Blackstone, and external parties
Synthesize, cleanse, and monitor financial, operating, and portfolio data received from various internal teams
Work closely with, mentor, and train analyst(s) in real estate valuation, corporate finance, capital markets, and financial modeling
Improve quality and efficiency of reporting to Link senior management and Blackstone
Track and evaluate Link's portfolio, capital structure, and financial and operating performance relative to peers
Collect, evaluate, and present macroeconomic, real estate sector, industry, and public / private market statistics, trends, and transaction activity
Collaborate with the FP&A team to create and maintain asset- and portfolio-level analytics
Work closely with the Accounting, Investments, and Data Analytics teams to ensure data integrity across the entire portfolio
Handle special projects and analyses, as assigned
QUALIFICATIONS:
Bachelor's Degree required
Minimum 3 years' investment banking experience (or 1 year with MBA degree); real estate experience strongly preferred
Experience with structuring and executing capital markets and corporate-level strategic transactions
Advanced financial analytical skills and experience building complex models
Strong interpersonal and project management skills
Advanced excel and financial modeling skills
