About The Role

The Chief Marketing Officer (CMO) is responsible for positioning and go-to-market strategies to various internal and external audiences and counter-parties across Pagaya and the market. The CMO will have a multi-product view on the go-to-market strategy, ensuring Pagaya's impact to each business vertical is communicated in a way that supports the strategic goals of the company. The CMO will partner the full executive team to ensure the business strategy is cognizant of market dynamics and market positioning is a dominant force driving the business and its products forward. Day to day, the CMO will oversee Pagaya's PR, as well as the global brand position and marketing operations across all product verticals.The CMO will report directly to the Chief Growth Officer running the business and go to market strategy.

Responsibilities

  • Work closely with the Chief Growth Officer and Chief Business Officer to ensure brand and product position land consistently across all products within all lines of business
  • Understand the different functions of the PAGAYA business and translate those principles into actionable and measurable product strategy and positioning
  • Lead all aspects of the company's marketing initiatives, including demand generation (online and offline), brand, creative, product marketing, content marketing, communications/PR, events, insights, and analytics.
  • Build and lead a world class marketing organization by developing talent, hiring well, and scaling the team to meet aggressive growth goals.
  • Serve as an innovative brand ambassador internally and externally; creating smart, engaging, and creative content/messaging, with the goal of shaping global narrative and increasing overall brand visibility.
  • Craft the customer personas, messaging and positioning for new products
  • Work cross-functionally with key stakeholders in sales, customer success and product functions to ensure that marketing efforts are aligned with the product roadmap, sales initiatives, and the overall growth strategy of the business.
  • Define and implement operational metrics, KPIs and other measurements of success that measure, optimize and continually improve efficiency and effectiveness of marketing programs, tactics, and strategy.
  • Own measuring the outcomes of marketing efforts against strategic goals
  • Be a steward of the PAGAYAN way and culture
  • Contribute to other areas of the business as a thought leader

Requirements

  • 10+ years actively designing and positioning products
  • 15+ years of progressive experience
  • 7+ years of experience as a Chief Marketing Officer
  • 5+ years of experience specifically in Finance or Fintech company
  • Passionate about growing and building business but recognizes the challenges that come alongside it
  • Experience building an in-house marketing organization
  • Extensive brand experience preferably in building a category leader with demonstrated success leveraging a distinct set of tactics that measurably created a world-class brand (advertising, PR, etc).
  • Shares a learning mindset and is creative, accountable and humble.
  • Track record of managing product marketing capabilities to develop comprehensive and distinctive value propositions for customers for a multi-product offering in an increasingly commoditized market.
  • Strong interest in internal and external comms and gravitas to be an internal advocate for Pagaya to align the company in pursuit of our mission.
