Title: Senior Consultant/Consultant, Market Access Data Analytics

Company and Location: Valuate Health Consultancy is based in Boston, MA

Job Location: Remote, option to commute to Boston, NY or Princeton offices

Backed by a specialized market access data science team, we work with client data and our in-house technical assets to identify market risks, analyze performance, inform strategic planning, gather insights from corporate and individual customers, and synthesize a comprehensive assessment of market access challenges and opportunities.

Our clients include enterprise organizational customers, health plans, health care provider entities, coalitions, pharmaceutical, biotech and device manufacturers, and large retail/specialty pharmacies. We help healthcare organizations and therapeutic manufacturers evaluate reimbursement potential for new assets, design and translate HEOR studies, develop and validate product value platforms, respond to health policy changes, understand and support organizational customers, and formulate strategies to ensure products can break through market access barriers to get to patients.

OVERVIEW OF ROLE:

The Consultant provides strategic and project leadership for client engagements within Valuate and across the network. Key parts of the role include providing market access expertise, translating client needs to actionable insights through research and analytics, contributing to service innovations, identifying collaboration opportunities and staff development.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

Lead strategic client consulting engagements, market research, and data analytics projects

Identify and pursue business development opportunities

Translate client business questions into research methodologies: interviews, surveys, advisory boards, targeting, segmentation, etc.

Interpret research findings into actionable insights for clients

Stay informed of healthcare business and policy trends affecting both payers and providers

Mentor and develop staff

In person client travel is required

QUALIFICATIONS:

At least 5-7 years of experience, operations, analytics, and/or consulting in US market access strategy

At least 2-5 years of experience with business analytics software such as Tableau, R, SPSS, SAS, Power BI, etc.

At least 2-5 years analyzing primary data from online survey platforms and/or third-party healthcare data

At least 2-5 years analyzing data from major healthcare vendors (eg, MMIT, DRG, IQVIA, Symphony Health)

Strong experience in gathering strategic insights in the payer markets

Strong communication, collaboration, and strategic skills

Ability to motivate and develop teams

Bachelor's or graduate degree in healthcare-related discipline preferred
