This is based on the COVID-19 vaccines' high level of protection and our shared responsibility in protecting our patients. Job Details We are seeking a self-directedContracts Specialist. This position serves an integral functionmanaging subaward agreements,monitoring and ensuring compliance with sponsor regulations,and developingtools for tracking and managing agreements.You will:Independently analyze and interpret terms and conditions of government and non-government sponsored research agreementsCoordinate and monitor all aspects associated withsubawardprocessing and executionWork and liaise with external sponsors, grants managers, and MSK research community to negotiate appropriate and acceptable agreement terms and conditions;advise PI, Director, Managers,andother involved parties of any problematic terms prior to and during negotiationServe as expert resource and institutional liaison forsubawards and guide communication among grants management team, PI, and outside organizations as neededDraftsubawardagreements incorporating appropriate sponsor, and MSK terms & conditions.Review all partially executedsubawardterms and conditions ensuring all relevant documentation is returned and completeAdminister the system(s) housing all consortium and subaward informationEnsure that MSKsubawardand consortium compliance obligations are satisfiedInterpret subcontracts to identify those requiring Federal Funding Accountability and Transparency Act (FFATA) report submissionsYou are:Able to operate effectively in an environment notable for complex information, even when things are not clear or the way forward is not obviousSelf-motivated, willing to take action, individual, with demonstrated ability to establish relationships, prioritize and multi-task on parallel projectsAble to adapt in ambiguous situations and produce resultsAdept at planning and prioritizing work to meet commitments aligned with institutional goalsA strong communicator and able to easily interact with a diverse group of individualsYou have:Bachelor's Degree or four years of experience in lieu of a degree2-4 years of relevant experiencePrior experience working with subcontracts and/orconsortium awards and familiarity with NIH grants submission/awardprocessThis role offers remote flexibility with the need that employees are onsite in Manhattan two days per year.
