DescriptionAbout this role. Our team. You will be working as a member of BlackRock's investment management technology department which is called, The Aladdin Product Group. We are a group of software developers, product managers, quality engineers and more, all dedicated to design, build and deliver Aladdin. Aladdin is used both internally and externally by many financial institutions. Aladdin combines sophisticated risk analytics with comprehensive portfolio management, trading and operations tools on a single platform to power informed decision-making and create a connective tissue for thousands of users investing worldwide. We collaboratively build the next generation of technology that changes the way information, people, and technology intersect for global investment firms. We build and package tools that manage trillions in assets and supports millions of financial instruments. We perform risk calculations and process millions of transactions for thousands of users every day worldwide!. The mission of the COO team within APG is to help teams to achieve strategic outcomes for BlackRock and Aladdin by running APG like a business and operating to our full potential. More specifically, the business management function is responsible for APG's financial plans, headcount management, recruitment planning and various other talent related programs. You will have the chance to grow relationships with leaders within our APG organization, members of our talent organization and human resources teams as well as other internal groups we partner with. Your Role and Impact: We are looking for a senior business manager to help manage and evolve our centralized business management operations to provide incremental value to individual business leads and the COO. Your Responsibilities: Partner with APG lead to manage and evolve our technology consulting strategy including devising metrics for decision making. Join vendor meetings to learn from senior managers about strategic relationships and summarize key points and follow-ups. Define recruiting prioritization principles and put into execution. Create presentations to management including reporting on spend rate and overall achievements on program goals. Play a key role in overall future budget planning. Your Qualifications: You enjoy driving a project and ensuring that all involved are engaged and up to date. You are passionate about data quality and adept at creating insights from data for stakeholders. You provide clear and concise oral and written communication. You are passionate about making it easier for teams to do their best work. You are technically curious and committed to continuous improvement practices.
