Job description

Responsibilities:

  • Overall accounting operations for the organization's two entities.
  • Responsible for all bookkeeping and accounting transactions
  • Full responsibility for the monthly close and all bank reconciliations
  • Processing payroll for 40 people, and administration of 401k
  • Ensuring all accounts are kept accurate and up to date
  • Ensuring the company complies with all financial regulations
  • Coordinating and preparing internal and external financial statements and reports
  • Working in QuickBooks Online (QBO) and Bill.com
  • Working closely with upper management to identify areas to reduce costs and liabilities
  • Support the annual budget process and monthly forecasting
  • Ad hoc projects and reports
  • Oversight of AR/AP functions
  • Record year-end journal entries and compile audit and tax work-papers to facilitate preparation of audited financial statements and tax returns
  • Working with tax accountants to prepare documents for tax returns

Qualifications:

· Bachelor's degree in accounting/finance, CPA a plus

· 5+ years of experience in an accounting role, Real Estate Brokerage a plus

· Outstanding and advanced knowledge of MS Excel required

· Proficient with QuickBooks Online; Bill.com a plus

· Excellent communication skills

  • Must be a cost-minded results-oriented doer and not a delegator
