Director, Promotions & Sponsorships

The Director is responsible for the development and activation of the company's promotions, events and sponsorships. This position will require travel on an as-needed basis.

Responsibilities:

Promotions and Events

  • Develop and execute multiplatform marketing promotions, partnerships and consumer/influencer activations (virtual and IRL) that drive brand awareness and attribution for programming i.e. screenings, stunts, panels, etc.
  • Drive the planning logistics and onsite event management across industry and consumer events.
  • Work alongside agencies to activate, measure and report campaign performance.
  • Represent department in inter-departmental meetings

Sponsorships and Festivals

  • Oversee strategic sponsorships that drive brand affinity and awareness for the brand; ensure that negotiated benefits and branding moments are activated.
  • Drive the development and execution of stunts and events at tentpole cultural events i.e. SXSW, Comic Con, etc.
  • Develop, manage and execute on-site film festival activations (virtual and IRL); aiding with on the ground cast dinners and small network engagements as needed.

Requirements:

  • Prior experience working in a Marketing, Events or Entertainment field is preferred
  • Must be autonomous, able to manage projects independently, while also knowing when to seek guidance.
  • Demonstrate professional conduct and sound judgment at all times
  • Inclusive of written and verbal correspondence.
  • Must be proactive and anticipate department and team needs.
  • Must be comfortable representing department as needed in interdepartmental meetings.
  • Solid work history planning and executing events / experiential tactics; entertainment industry preferable.
  • Ability to work well with agencies and outside vendors.
  • Ability to exercise good judgment and display professional maturity when managing sensitive information and when representing the brand / corporation on-site at events.
  • Team spirit, collaborative nature, strong work ethic, and heightened attention to detail in workflow and communications.
  • Must take direction well and be able to multi-task a variety of projects flawlessly.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Excellent organizational and follow-up skills; excellent problem-solving skills.
  • Strong computer skills (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
  • Willing to learn working knowledge of Adobe Suite (Photoshop, InDesign, Illustrator).
  • Proficiency in the social media landscape.
  • Willing to travel and work on weekends with short notice for promotional events and stunts.
  • Passion for entertainment.
