RESPONSIBILITIES:

Kforce is hiring a Human Resources Generalist for our client in New York City. Summary: The Human Resources Generalist manages the day-to-day operations of the Human Resource office, and manages the administration of the human resources policies, procedures and programs. The HR Generalist carries out responsibilities in the following functional areas: Human Resource Information Systems (HRIS), Employee Relations, Training and Development, Benefits, Compensation, Organizational Development, and Employment. Responsibilities:
  • Recruiting and staffing logistics, partnering with programs to ensure staff needs are met in compliance with regulatory and agency requirements: employee orientation, development and training, and policy development and documentation
  • Employee relations, company-wide committee facilitation, company employee communication
  • Compensation and benefits administration, employee safety, welfare, wellness and health
  • Employee services and counseling
  • Originates and leads Human Resources practices and objectives that will provide an employee-oriented, high performance culture that emphasizes empowerment, quality, productivity and standards, goal attainment, and the recruitment and ongoing development of a superior workforce
  • Coordinates implementation of services, policies, and programs through Human Resources staff
  • Reports to the Human Resources Director and assists and advises company managers about Human Resources issue and practices

  • Strong organizational skills that reflect ability to perform and prioritize multiple tasks seamlessly with excellent attention to detail
  • Very strong interpersonal skills and the ability to build relationships with programs, external partners and colleagues and executive management
  • Expert level written and verbal communication skills
  • Demonstrated proactive approaches to problem-solving with strong decision-making capability
  • Highly resourceful team player, with the ability to also be extremely effective independently
  • Proven ability to handle confidential information with discretion, be adaptable to various
competing demands, and demonstrates the highest level of customer service and response
  • Demonstrated ability to achieve high performance goals and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment
