ABOUT THE JOB
Reporting the Human Resources Director, as part of the Human Resources team of human resources professionals, the Human Resources Business Partner (HRBP) works closely with client leadership and Human Resources Centers of Excellence (COE), to develop innovative solutions and lead initiatives that enhance organizational effectiveness, and contribute to the achievement of The Jewish Board's vision and mission. The HRBP serves not only as client account manager to ensure the effective delivery of a full range and scope of human resources services for one or more client groups, but also serves as trusted advisor on sensitive and/or critical issues that pertain to people and related matters. They will support implementation and execution of our policies and procedures that are aligned with the organization's goals while guiding and communicating the strategy that comes from leadership. Some responsibilities include:
- Understand the organization as a whole, be proactive and support managers and the HR team in creating a best place to work
- Offer HR guidance to managers and individuals in areas including talent management, development, and retention; career planning; succession planning; employee relations, organizational design and effectiveness, total rewards, staffing/headcount planning and more
- Be an advisor to employees and management regarding company policies, employee performance, culture/work environment and other issues; resolve conflicts effectively while minimizing legal exposure.
- Remain current on HR practices along with applicable federal and local legislation and regulations and ensure compliance across your client groups.
- Participate in investigation procedures and collects data to support internal and external complaints and other employment-related issues.
TO QUALIFY
The Jewish Board is currently looking for talented human resources professionals of all cultures, religions, races, and gender expressions with the following qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree preferred, HS Diploma or equivalent required.
- 4+ years of experience in Human Resources, possibly from a variety of roles but ideally with a minimum of 2 years of experience as an HR Business Partner or similar
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, in one-on-one settings and group settings
- Passion and successful track record for mentoring and coaching managers as well as employees
- Demonstrated expertise in this field including mastery of HR compliance and legal requirements
- Ability to track projects and programs and move them forward to completion in a timely manner
- Possesses a high degree of competency with technology across multiple platforms for tracking and reporting outcomes.
- Skilled in leveraging HR technology to support business decisions (Dayforce preferred)
