ROLE AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Position Summary: The OTG Logistics Buyer supports the Logistics Crew that works with our markets and purchasing managers. Support includes the essential functions of category management, productivity management, promotional management, data analysis, as well as to support the buying and logistics functions of our markets and purchasing team.

Responsibilities:

* Assist in maintaining accurate data to include costing, retail, product information, retail prices and promotional calendar for each product within category
* Support activities that enhance targeted profit margin by lowering cogs, increasing turn, and increasing promotions and promotional activity
* Assist in the forecast for purchasing requirements for all products to support distribution
* Assist in and monitor sell through of products in all markets - collaborate with purchasing and vendor/distributor when concerns arises
* Administrative duties include setting up new products in Crunchtime and various register systems, assisting in sending out monthly updates to airport terminals with new product and discontinued product information, assist with monthly reporting requirements
* Assist in coordination of samples of potential new products
* Support vendor follow up and communication as needed

Qualifications and Requirements:

* Degree in business, economics, marketing or related field preferred.
* Previous experience in the merchandising or retail industry is a plus.
* Excellent interpersonal, communication and negotiation skills.
* Strong analytical and organizational skills.
* Ability to multi-task and perform under pressure.
* Experience with merchandising software systems is a plus.
* Proficiency in Microsoft Office.
* Able to work varied hours/days, including nights, weekends, holiday, and during inclement weather as needed
