Fairstead is now seeking a Project Coordinator to work closely with our project managers and vendors on launching and monitoring our diverse construction portfolio.
In this role you will:
- Oversee the construction project from start to finish; ensure key milestones are met.
- Involve yourself with pre-construction leading into interior commercial office and residential space
- Manage budget, track expenses and minimize exposure and risk
- Monitor progress of construction activities and hold regular status meetings. Develop effective communication and mechanisms for resolving conflicts
- Complete RFIs and submittals
- Coordinate job filings, obtaining permits, and permit renewals
- Correct/ clear violations by submitting AEU-2 Certificate of Correction, etc.
- Oversee sign offs, fee estimation, landmarks, DOB, DOT, FDNY
- Coordinate signatures for Job filings (PW1, PW2, PW3, etc.)
- Track all permit and plan expediting.
- Assist with licensing renewals
- Other tasks as assigned.
Requirements
The ideal candidate will have:
- Bachelors degree in construction management or real estate related field, preferred
- 3-5 years experience in project coordination at a construction firm or developer
- Able to work in a fast-paced environment and have excellent attention to detail
- Experience with MS Word, Excel, Outlook.
- Experience with MS Project, Procore (or equivalent).
- Class 1 Filing Representative License
- 3+ years of experience in all NYC Agencies
- Familiar with Local Law
- Comprehend project plan drawings
- Knowledge of OSHA practices
