Development Associate-Prospect Strategy & Management Associate - Req # ( Remote Work Is Possible)

Mount Sinai Health System seeks an exceptional Prospect Strategy & Management (PSM) Associate to perform a variety of data oriented tasks that strengthens pipeline development efforts and gleans insight on managed portfolios. Tasks include but are not limited to data entry, tracking proposals, updating donor status, and projects analyzing donor movement. The incumbent will work closely with the entire Office of Development team of frontline fundraisers and managerial professionals to facilitate and fulfill data requests. They will report into the Senior Director of Prospect Strategy & Management.

Roles & Responsibilities:

  • Partner with Prospect Strategy & Management and Office of Development to fulfill moves management update requests and ensure fundraiser portfolio and proposal data integrity.
  • Runs maintenance queries and communicates with staff as necessary to make appropriate changes and maintain accurate, comprehensive, and up-to-date portfolio information in Raiser's Edge.
  • Assists team with the analysis of fundraising processes and effectiveness, and uses data to contribute to informed recommendations of practice enhancements.
  • Provides the PSM team, frontline fundraisers, and administrative teams with prospect management reports, both on a regular and ad hoc basis.
  • Assist the PSM strategist prepare for portfolio consultation meetings and attend meetings with officers to take notes, ensure follow-up, and implement portfolio and proposal updates.
  • Support team members by providing back up on projects during peak times and vacations.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree
  • 2 years' experience; preference given to those with at least 1 year of data entry experience working in a fast-paced nonprofit environment, preferably in a development/fundraising office
  • Basic knowledge of MS Excel, including formatting and manipulating datasets
  • Data entry experience with Raiser's Edge is preferred

  • Must possess strong critical thinking skills to interpret data requests from staff.
  • Must have a strong customer service orientation.
  • Must be able to organize and prioritize work, take initiative, resolve problems, follow through, and manage multiple priorities to ensure goals are met in a timely manner.
  • Proven ability to work independently as well as collaboratively on a team.
