Job description
We are in process of becoming the biggest Property-focused Technology company in the Single Family home buying space, building relationships with some very large, institutional investors that are looking to allocate to the SFR equity space but do not have the ability to originate within a very niche and regionally specific marketplace. We provide them with real-time sourcing and analytical capabilities, allowing them to make investment decisions quickly on a single piece of property. This allows these institutional investors to effectively raise and deploy large funds into SFR equity without having to outsource investment decision making and without having to build the same kind of infrastructure as similar players in this space.
Within the first three months of business, we have helped clients buy over 1000 individual homes, and are working on automating as many parts of their business as possible to continuously increase their output.
A day in the life of our Portfolio Acquisition Associate
These individuals will report to the Portfolio Acquisitions Manager, and ultimately to the Head of Acquisitions with various duties related to originating new investments for the firm. The role benefits from newly-created technology tools and data proprietary to the firm to generate, diligence, and ultimately close a high volume of single-family rental portfolio transactions with support from an internal marketing and administrative staff.
The individual will benefit from a multi-faceted training program which includes topics related to deal sourcing, asset valuation, and negotiating the key terms associated with the transaction. Through this training, the Associate will develop a thorough understanding of the market (how the influx of technology and institutional capital has affected its changing landscape), real estate fundamentals, and technical acumen. Ongoing mentoring and education is an essential component of this program to allow for continuous development.

"Building and maintaining relationships with market participants relevant to the effort (existing owners, active investors, brokers, etc.)

"Engaging in national and local industry and professional associations and networks for the purpose of creating new contacts and generating new business
"Demonstrate and convey a solid understanding of business and build trust with residential real estate investors
"Engages in local business community and charitable events, as well as industry and professional associations for the purpose of creating new contacts and generating new business
"Maintaining accurate and up-to-date information in company databases in a robust purpose-built CRM system
"Tracking and pursuing on-market opportunities using an internal interface developed for this purpose

What you'll need to have
"Bachelor's degree required
"1-5 years' experience in related field (commercial property sales/brokerage, investment/acquisition analysis) preferred
"Ability to provide efficient, timely, reliable and courteous service to customers
"Cold lead outreach preferred but not mandatory
"Must be able to commute to New York City office upon start date
"Must be comfortable speaking on phone
"Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
"Excellent interpersonal skills
