Risk StrategistRole summary: Demonstrates full knowledge in assigned area and is an experienced sole contributor. The Risk Strategist will work to deliver Fixed Income (FI) strategies in a wide array of vehicles and funds. They will partner with Portfolio Strategists to develop tools that provide portfolio risk insights as well as results interpretation.Primary responsibilities/essential functions: Develops risk metrics and tools. Partners with Portfolio Strategists to build out scale in the replication efforts of FI funds. Understands the inner workings of FI strategies, the specific environment within which the strategies are implemented, and the core objectives of each of the funds and vehicles. Develops metrics to monitor the risk positioning of vehicles relative to their reference strategies/funds. Metrics may be both specific to particular investment sectors and/or applicable across all strategies. Programs the tools needed to view these risk metrics in a scalable manner. Conducts risk analysis. Works independently to interpret the results of developed tools/ risk metrics and collaborates with Portfolio Strategists on investment ramifications. Participates in broader research questions, design, and build-out of replication capabilities in service of driving to "best execution" for vehicles. Liaises with related teams. Makes recommendations for continuous improvement that are in support of Capital's Replication program. Works with IT to maintain the model/data environment and support evolution of decision- making support systems and structures. Performs additional responsibilities as assigned. Exhibits knowledge in current and possible future policies, practices, trends, technology and information affecting the department/business area.
